Honest. Human. Real.

Each story is different—but you’ll find shared humanity in every conversation. These episodes aren’t about fixing anything. They’re about reminding you that you’re not the only one learning to live with loss.

23. Rachael Rose | Restoring the Flow: The Power of Acupuncture & Energy Healing

What if your body already knows how to heal, you just need to help it remember? In this episode, an experienced acupuncturist shares how ancient Chinese medicine works with the body’s natural intelligence to restore balance, regulate the nervous system, and unlock deep healing. Through powerful personal stories and client transformations, the conversation explores how trauma, stress, and blocked energy disrupt the body, and how practices like acupuncture, heat therapy, and meditation can gently guide it back into flow. At its core, this episode is a reminder that true healing happens when we shift from survival mode into a state of safety, allowing the body to do what it was designed to do: heal.

“Your trauma can really just hide out… our bodies are really good at hiding it until you’re ready to deal with it.” - Rachael Rose

Key Points:

  • The body is inherently designed to heal—practices like acupuncture simply support and guide that natural process.

  • Trauma and stress can disrupt the flow of energy (“Qi”), often showing up physically in the body over time.

  • Regulating the nervous system is foundational to healing—moving out of fight-or-flight allows rest, digestion, and recovery.

  • Acupuncture works on both physical and emotional levels by influencing fascia, energy pathways (meridians), and the central nervous system.

  • Healing isn’t always immediate—sometimes the body releases stored trauma years later when it feels safe enough.

  • Small, consistent practices like heat therapy, meditation, and mindful care can significantly improve resilience, mood, and overall well-being.
